Maria Eliades is a New York area-based Greek-American writer writer, journalist, editor, and researcher who lives in the New York metro area, but formerly lived in Istanbul, Turkey for six years. A member of the National Book Critics Circle, Maria's published fiction and non-fiction has appeared in publications such as The Times Literary Supplement, The Puritan, Rosetta World Literatura, PRI's The World, Versopolis, Gastronomica, EurasiaNet, Muftah, Hürriyet Daily News, and Istanbul Altı. Maria has also taught Academic Writing at Boğaziçi University. She's currently working on a historical novel about the Greeks of Istanbul in the 1950s. Follow her @MariaInIstanbul.
